Are You Sure?

A Filipino? Short, usually have black hair and brown eyes with dark tan skin. Their hair is usually really silky and thick. The men usually have thick mustaches but not much hair on legs or arms. Filipinos are also great for hiding their emotion, in every smile they show hides a deep pain trying to escape.
Filipinos are known for being hospitable, respectful, strong family ties, generosity and helpful, hardworking, caring, loving and caring, and also religious. Religious… really? I admit that we have a trait called crab mentality, in where most of the people push each other down for their own benefit so they do their best to drop or ruin a person. You may call it selfishness as well. But the fact that our country is known for being religious does not mean everyone is religious. Some go to church and listen, they pray, but still commit crimes that they already know that they would go wrong on it. They worship God but does not even follow on his commands. Don’t get me wrong but our country really is religious. The fact is that following is different from worshipping. It is like believing and hoping. Believing is where you really give your faith to trust into it while hoping is a “feeling” of trust or an expectation for a certain thing to happen. Really is crazy that most Filipinos get it wrong. But hey, it’s what I have learned in a Christian school. I am a Catholic by religion but taught by Christians in school.
I really think that we Filipinos really are unique compared to other Asians and other more races. It’s funny how we follow rules (not really), how we state what is obvious and how we help each one of us by pushing them back down for you to go up. Above everything else, God sees all and knows all. I do believe in him, do you? Are you sure?
