Southeast Asia is the location of a small country called the Philippines. Natives of the country are called Filipinos. Filipino People are known as settlers in many parts of the world. They are like the chameleon who easily adopts to different environments. The Philippines is a country of smiles and nothing can take away the humor and jolliness of many Filipinos.
There are so many things that we can be proud of about our country, and we just have to know them. Filipinos are known for ingenuity. We are creative in many ways, whether it’s an art, music, science, technology or business. Just like in our resources, some of our smartest countrymen can come up with a brilliant idea despite of poverty or lack of financial resources. We are also good in recycling trash and turn them into ingenious products. Our country is very fond of music too. We use various materials to create sound because Filipinos love performing dances such as Tinikling and Carinosa. As a Filipino, I can say that the most unique and noticeable in our country is our human values. There may be a negative traits that are common to many Filipinos, such as crab mentality, being envious or insecure, procrastination and tardiness. But on the other side, We also have several positive traits that make us one of the most admirable people on Earth. One of the most popular traits of Filipinos is being hospitable. We are usually friendly and welcoming to our guests and this Filipino attribute makes the Philippines one of the most favorite destinations by tourists who want to enjoy the the beauty of our nature and the friendliness of our people. And the most important thing that i can be proud of Filipinos is that we are Family-oriented. We are willing to make big sacrifices just to make sure that our love ones will have a good life. Our parents will do anything just to give us a brighter future. They are even willing to work in a foreign country just to achieve such goal. And in return, we study hard and even sacrifice our personal love life just to fulfil the dreams of our parents for us.
The Philippines has a very unique culture because we are creative in many ways. We can do things that other countries cannot do. And I am proud to be a Filipino because of our wonderful culture, colorful heritage and our optimistic attitude towards life that despite the calamities we’re facing right now, we Filipinos still get to put a smile on our faces. Our culture is the evident that makes our country a vibrant, exciting and diverse place to live and visit.
